I Thinketh, I Believeith
Does positive thinking always breed good results and increases in productivity? Or is it better to be like as Homer Simpson says, “Aim low, and never be disappointed”?
Some emotions and behaviors are undoubtedly more beneficial than others, and usually these tend to be middle of the road emotions (it’s good to be positive, but not delusional).
Have you ever met someone, and right away know they were a bit ‘off’? Like you can show them a picture of Yankee Stadium and they see a big bowl of soup instead?
While some of us can be too sensitive, others are too numb to sense anything at all. You probably would not be envious of either quality.
6 commentsLetter to the Editor: DESIS TAKE IT TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL
send your letter to admin@desiexclusives.com
TO NEIL PATEL:
America was built on something good. It was a little more than freedom of speech and the right to vote. It was an idea of economic expansion. The ability to earn more money and have more “toys” than your counterparts. This is actually Desi. Ask most Desis today and your hearing about them becoming lawyers and doctors. In my case, banking. The ability to complete transactions and play with derivatives have never bored me as much. Seeing unmotivated Desis do. All Desis have the cheese in the Ellio’s Pizza to keep things moving out of convenient stores and into the great abyss of corporate America. What stands to hold anyone back is only themselves. Desis have a specific strand within them that pushes like a Diwali party days before it happens. In America, we have the capabilities to not just make the nuke bomb but also direct it wherever we want it to go. So why keep shooting blanks? Every Desi in America should have money and more that they can ask for. Some come here with too much and get lost with what to do with it. But, if you come here with not much and earn a lot, you’ll know what to do with it like having a Mercedes or a nice home
Desis are the greatest amongst all creatures in the world for their hardworking and forthrightness. I am so proud to be part of this group of people. I will always hire them in my company. They work hard and I can see their fire. So tell me everyone on Desiexclusives. What rocks your world and when will YOU wake up

2 commentsAn Incriminating Finger
According to The Daily Mail (U.K.), a British man in Dubai is facing six months in jail for giving an Iraqi man the middle finger. This news comes after a British couple was jailed for having sex on a beach there and a man and woman were arrested for kissing at a bar.
We might think legal action such as this is outrageous. However, individuals traveling abroad must be aware of local laws as much as they are cognizant of differences in weather and currency.
We should not be naive enough to expect every country we enter to share the exact same customs and behaviors as us. If we are ignorant, we should stay at home or else face the grave consequences.
10 commentsOur Real Possessions
For some of us, nothing makes us smile more than taking our new S-class for a spin or putting a freshly purchased Cartier on our wrist for the first time.
For all of us, our possessions are a prized part of our existence. But while we each put a different value on such material collections, the worth of our collections of friends and family cannot be understated.
Think about the people in your life who make you smile, whether they are family or friend. They are there when you need them, to talk or to listen, sharing experiences with you that provide memories which will last for the duration of your lifetimes.
While the car will eventually sputter and the gleam of the watch will fade, the glow of those you care about will remain, unconditional and as bright as you can remember.
7 commentsBig jelly roll women
Some women just can’t take care of themselves. Physically. They look like shit. They eat twinkies and look like peanut butter jelly. They’re fat. They keep eating and don’t stop. They come into the gym and pretend like their doing something. They act like they’re doing us a favor. But really the only favor they are doing is for themselves. I get disgusted looking at them. I want to take a picture of them and show it to them. Ignorance is not always bliss. Sometimes when the good gets ugly, the ugly gets good.
13 commentsDrinking as a means
Drinking on the weekends has always been the theme of the week for many. For some it may even start on Thursday leading up to Sunday. Its an addictive cycle that could never end for some. This creates the 4 day binge. Looking forward to that Amstel light or vodka tonic could never come any sooner. Monday through Wednesday can seem like such a downer. So down that if you have a drink, you feel like you killed the potential high that can come from the days ahead. I actually like having a drink Monday through Wednesday. All the garbage that comes out between Thursday through Sunday are still busy recovering from the prior weekend. The bars are not packed and you can actually hear people that your communicating with without feeling a rush of the crowd. Maybe switching it up every once in a while will help improve the mood.
16 commentsWinter Music Conference
Winter Music Conference is the theme of the week. Forget Barack Hussein Obama or Governor Christie. The world is looking this week at South Beach, Miami as the world’s biggest DJS hit the beach. Every year during the last week of March, a huge festival of talented DJS come from all parts of the world to strut their stuff. Over 2000 DJS and 50,000 people come from all over to celebrate this fiesta. I have yet to see this event but its definitely on my bucket list. The few and lucky that do make it to this event know what I’m talking about as some of them even sleep in cars and beaches just to wake up in presence of such music legendary.
3 commentsFree Speech Walks the Tightrope Up North
Ann Coulter arrives today in Calgary for a speech at the University of Calgary, a couple days after her speech at the University of Ottawa was canceled due to security concerns.
Protesters there did not want her to speak, but her speech will go on as scheduled in Calgary. I am not a big Coulter fan; but no matter how nonsensical her ideas are, she has every right to voice her mind. Who are we to dictate what another person says? She is not representing any particular organization, just herself. If we take away an individuals right to speak, where do we draw the line?
We don’t have to like what she says. We don’t have to listen. We have the right to be appalled by her words, but respect the fact the she is allowed to have an opinion.
If we as humans can’t have a dialogue with mere words then our differences will be reconciled in much more deleterious way.
2 commentsI rather be Vin Diesel than Jay Cutler
Sex sells. But to what extent? Muscle sells but too much is no good. Its great to have a nice athletic look to yourself that distinguishes yourself amonst the rest. However, this doesn’t mean that you need 300 pounds to go along with it. A nice healthy feel where your skin is tight and your bones are strong is a wonderful thing. Being a mass monster has no prestige and is not a prerequiste to higher self esteem. Your self esteem will ride you wherever you want it to go. Ten pounds heavier will do no greater happiness.
6 commentsCOLD CASE SOLVED AFTER NEARLY 32 YEARS
By Ken LeClair
Newark,NJ August 1978, 5 teenage boys vanished never to be seen again. They were all friends 16 and 17 years old and none of them had ever been in trouble and were not likely runaways. They were last seen getting into a pickup truck driven by a local contractor who hired them to do some work. The contractor was questioned by the police and even took a lie detector test that he passed and was not deemed a suspect.
The days and weeks and months and years went by but there was no trace of them. None of their social security numbers were ever used and there was no record of their finger prints to be checked and only one of them had dental records. There was never a lead or a fresh lead to be followed up on. They had simply vanished. A well known psychic was consulted and she was able to envision their burned remains under the ground but could not identify where. Every 5-8 years or so the case would be reopened but without any fresh leads it was simply closed again. As the years went by all of their mothers and fathers passed away without ever knowing what happened to their sons.
Finally a break in the case! The contractor who had picked the boys up in his pickup truck confessed to a relative of one of the boys in the presence of a police inspector. On that August day in 1978 he and 2 of his cousins picked the boys up and took them to an abandoned house at gun point. Once in the house they tied the boys up and set the house on fire and watched it burn to the ground. Why? Because they believed that the boys had stolen marijuana from them. Senseless horrific murder of 5 young boys over the theft of some marijuana.
Lee Evans, the contractor with the pickup truck, and his cousin Philander Hampton, a 3rd cousin involved died 2 years ago of natural causes, are under arrest for the 5 murders and arson. The boys Melvin Pittman, Ernest Taylor,Randy Johnson, Alvin Turner and Michael McDowell are no longer a cold case file. Their sad fate is known and perhaps this is the only solace to be found in this sad tale.
